Stupid, Arrogant, or Both?

As I heard the news about OJ Simpson's latest arrest for armed robbery and other related charges in Las Vegas several days ago, I had to wonder just what kind of a moron this guy is.

Is he just plain stupid, arrogant, or both?

Simpson escaped a conviction for two murders that he most likely committed or arranged to have committed. Considering the pariah status that he's known since that trial, you'd think he'd keep a low profile, mind his own business, and spend most of his time playing golf.

Nooooo, not OJ. That would have made too much sense for him.

Instead, he hatches a harebrained scheme to steal some sports memorabilia that he insists was rightfully his property. If the idiot had half an ounce of brains and he wanted the damned trinkets that badly, you would think he'd simply have sent a representative to buy the stuff for him anonymously. No one would have been the wiser and he'd have the junk back again.

Did he really think that he'd get away with such a moronic caper? Didn't he realize that the cops and public opinion would be on him like stink on shit as soon as he was caught?

Simpson was released on $125,000 bail yesterday. I'm sure he's thinking he's put one over on the man again and that the upcoming trial will turn out the same as the last one did.

I hope he's wrong and that we'll be able to see that shit-eating grin wiped off his face for good.

You know, I can understand him thinking maybe the police wouldn't help him, but if the stuff really was his, and not sold at a former time, why didn't he just call them and insist they do their job, or hire a private detective to act for him, instead of going all vigil ante and breaking the law, himself? If the stuff was sold at a prior time, then he should have just put up and shut up about buying it back. He needs to rethink his better ideas, in any case.

I think he believes he is above the law;that he's entitled to do as he pleases. So yeah, he's very arrogant. And stupid as well. I really hope they lock him up and throw away the key.

The man thinks he was set up. And, you know what, he's probably right. Here's the kicker...

So what?

If so, then he's just dumber than anyone imagined because it was so freaking easy to set the moron up in the first place. And, let's not forget, that all that crap, if it is his, any money goes to the Browns and Goldmans. The man is a pariah.

Another thing - he makes me mad because in his heyday, I was an OJ fan. Yep, hated Buffalo but loved "The Juice". I don't know how many of you saw him in his prime but no one, and I mean no one, could cut back and juke like O.J. could. It literally was a thing of beauty.

And now it's ruined for me. I can't even watch old clips of him playing anymore. It just makes me sick to my stomach and then I get angry at him for making me hate someone who I had a great deal of respect for in terms of his talent.

He ruined it. And now I realize I was cheering either an incredibly idiotic homicidal person, a man with severe psychological issues or possibly both.

Can we just place him in a rocket and shoot him off to space, please? Oh yeah, and add the steriod laden junkies and the entertainment whores while we're at it...
