After getting married for the third time to Rick Salomon this October, Pamela Anderson is already filing for divorce.

"I paid off a poker debt with sexual favors, and I fell in love," Anderson said during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, when asked how she met Salomon. "It's so romantic." Anderson owed a whopping $250, 000 in gambling debts when she struck the deal with Salomon.

But romantic? Don't make me laugh. Fucking to work off a debt might have been practical and cost effective for her, but I'd not call it romantic by any stretch of the imagination. And, though libertine as I am, if I accepted sex in lieu of a debt paid, I'd not call it romantic. There's no shame in calling a spade a spade. This was a business deal, nothing more -- love had nothing to do with it. Sex and love aren't the same thing and though they sometimes happily coincide, this is one time where it definitely didn't and there's no need to justify this exchange by saying it was.

Some people just don't need to be married. I'm not meant to be married in the way marriage is currently understood, and I've accepted that and have lived in a way that better suits me. It would seem as if Pam Anderson is also ill-suited to marriage and would do well to accept it and stop trying to force a square peg into a round hole, so to speak.

I don't know why anyone expects anything different from her. She likes the idea of being married, but she balks and runs at the first sign of trouble.

I read this and the comments and had to throw my opinion in the mix. Why? I have a strange fascination with Pamela Anderson. What's really weird is that I think most of the sane male population has it also.

First off, Laurie - I'll tell you why guys are the way they are about Pam. She's the "pinup girl" aka the fantasy that's been pumped into our brains since childhood. And she looks that way on purpose. That's not to say every male is in love with Pam because I'm not. But I am fascinated by her. Especialy when people tend to believe she's an airhead. I tend to believe she's a brilliant business woman and actually very funny. Her problem is that she is also a free spirit and she has all she wants - money, fame and most importantly, her two children.

Notice you don't see children's services going after Pam and Tommy about those kids. Pam's biggest problem is that the man she's in love with, she can't live with. I know a ton of people who have the same issue. Thing is, when you're used to getting your way constantly on the basis of your looks and being a sexual fantasy, you tend not to get it when some things just don't work out.

So this time, she picked a guy whom she's known for years and after a test drive figured, he knows me - why not?

Libertine's right - some people are not meant to be married. She should just say to hell with everybody and live her life. As long as she's not committing any crimes, so be it.

It would be hard for me to have less interest in a woman or less interest in a woman's life than I do for P. Anderson. She's just a giant cartoon from what I can see. Sort of an unsexy Jessica Rabbit, if you will.

I agree 100% with Sladewilson.

Pam Anderson is a fascination because, as Slade said... she's *the* "pinup" girl.

It doesn't matter that her boobs are fake... their still boobs... and impressive ones at that. I'm sure they are still fun to zurbert in. :p

But yeah... she's someone who, in real life I'm quite sure I'd have nothing do do with... but to look at... sure. She's like a train wreck. A sexy as hell train wreck. The fact that I feel like I need to wash my eyes with a diluted mix of dish soap, bleach, and antibiotics afterwards is irrelevant at the time.
