For Once, I Have No Complaints About the Weather

I had just finished an entry, when my computer crashed and it, naturally, vaporized the entire entry. I don't know why these things don't ever happen right after I make a post.

Anyway, anyone who knows me knows that I hate spring and summer because I hate hot weather. But compared to last year, this year hasn't been so bad so far.

Last year, we had days in the 90s starting in mid-March. This year, the highest we've seen so far is the very low 80s, and those have yet to be consistent. Rather, the average daytime temps have been in the upper 60s to low 70s. I can handle that, especially if the humidity is low and the nights are cool.

The last two days have been great with highs in the mid sixties and lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which I consider to be optimal sleeping weather.

Even the pollen-and-bird-shit season has been shorter and less intense this year.

There are some things I like about this time of year. I like having more hours of daylight to work with, for one thing. And I like my trees fully covered in leaves for two main reasons: it helps to screen my house from the view of passersby and the shade from the trees helps to keep my power bills lower in the summer.

It would be nice if the weather would stay like this all summer, but I know that's about as likely as finding an honest politican, so be prepared for my usual rants about the weather this summer.

I am being teased by spring. We get a glimpse of nice weather for a day or so, then more snow falls. The forecast for the next few days here calls for snow flurries with accumulation possible later in the week. I'm sick sick sick of it!

The weather over here has been vacillating between wet, chilly, near-freezing conditions to bright and sunny in the low 70's. It's not too bad, but, for the first time in ages, my allergies are causing me a little grief.

We actually hit the mid 70's last week but the lows at night are still quite chilly as well as the mornings. Since then it's been in the 60's for a day or so then goes back to the 50's and chilly. I like spring almost as much as I like fall...but like you I'm not real fond of extreme heat, even though I've grown up in some pretty hot countries and then Texas.
Also...I have huge trees in my front yard and it does help to even out the air conditioning bill and keep the house cooler, they act as huge umbrellas, you can stand under them in the pouring rain and barely get wet!

Mid 70's to the mid 80's for the last 4 months.

Although it did get chilly last week. Had to put on a shirt. It was horrible.

I live by DeeJay....our weather sucks! The few nice days we have had I have had to work inside, only get to hear about it from customers. the days I have off it has either rained or snowed!
This morning it was sunny and warmer (60's) I left work at noon and now it is cloudy and about to rain! Snow is predicted for Saturday!

The weather has been wonky. When it's good, we've got 65-70 degrees and low humidity which I know will change soon. NY is notorious for it's humidity. It's like living in the freakin' rainforest sometimes.

When it's bad, a damp, energy dulling rain hits and spurts.

What fun.
